MOYO Magazine - Surface Pattern
Today I am sharing a great new online magazine dedicated to the world of surface pattern. MOYO Magazine was launched yesterday and you can download and read the first issue by clicking here.
Issue two is out November 2012 and is set to include a Q&A with Khristian A Howell and a designer diary from Studio Seed! You can also subscribe to the newsletter so you don't miss the next issued! Click here to subscribe!
One of my favourite bloggers Rachel Taylor is one of the team behind it. Here is what Rachel had to say about the magazine on her blog yesterday...
"This magazine has been several months in the making and we are thrilled to launch it into the world. ‘MOYO’ (pronounced mo-yor) is from the Japanese for ‘pattern’. We hope you like the name, design, layout and feel of the magazine! Beth Nicholls and I have worked with a dream team on this project (see page 4 of the magazine!) and we hope this will become a regular read for you. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped bring this project to life, especially designer Jessica Swift, project manager Louise Gale and illustrator Robyn Taylor."

Blog Discovery - Lily Moon - The Aviary Keeper
Following on from yesterdays post on my recent blog discoveries. Today I feature Lily Moon - The Aviary Keeper.
Originally the blog started off as Lily Moon then the writer Lea created a new blog the Aviary Keeper which is where I found lots of beautiful inspiration for my bird trend.
About Lily Moon and The Aviary Keeper...
Lea lives on the island of St Francis, one of the many tiny isles that make up an otherworldly mosaic on Lazuli Ocean... Aged only 13, from the day her young hands were strong enough to open the heavy lock on the door to the Aviary Garden, her work has been to take care of the Aviary and its colourful residents...Now a grown woman, when not taking care of day to day chores she spends her time studying the nature of birds and her environment. These drawings are from her personal collection of notebooks...essentially fragments of her feelings and her world.
Take a look at both these blogs they are absolutely beautiful!

Blog Discovery - Nancy Standlee
Usually I add blogs I discover to my blog link but I have found a few recently that have to be shared in more depth.
I will be sharing a few over the next few days!
The Nancy Standlee Art Blog
Nancy Standlee's blog has been a great discovery! I came across Nancy's blog while searching for 'collage bird' inspiration. Some of her art quickly popped up and I literally got caught up exploring her blog for ages!
The blog showcases her acrylic, collage, mixed media and watercolour paintings. It shows her progress with her personal art and collaborative work. It also includes recommendations about blogging, books, workshops and art supplies (although Nancy is US based so maybe a bit of a tripe to get these supplies for us here in the UK)
Here are a few of my favourites!

Spring at Home
Again another very wet week here and I have hardly been able to get outside! Here I look back at some pictures from spring time when the weather was much nicer!
Looking up to our home from the bottom of the field.
