I have been experimenting with floral prints recently. Here is a glimpse of one of them.

Fashion Illustration .4 - Self Portrait!
Ok so week four is a little bit of a cheat - I have been cooped up in doors all last week, all weekend (and today!) with my third major cold of 2013. Januarys not been my month so I am very much looking forward to the start of February at the end of the week! So I didn't get the time to do a 'real' fashion Illustration last week but as some of you may of noticed I have spruced my blog up a bit! I though it needed to be brough more up to date and look a little more grown up! I've kept it simple and done a little illustration of me at work. Although it's not a 'fashion illustration' it's still an illustration - so this week I bring you me.
Hopefully this week I'll fight of the last of this cold and will post something a little more exciting next week!.

Cartoon Time!
Just before Christmas I attended a wedding of some friends of ours. They were compiling an assortment of funny stories about the groom to go in a wedding day newsletter. We found an old video on u tube of the groom choreographing a dance with some friends and I decided to make it into a cartoon strip with an American Dancing with the Stars spin off.
You can click on the image to make it larger!
It's not my best piece of work (haha) but hopefully it puts a smile on your face!

Boys Licensed T-Shirts - Spring/Summer 2013
Following on with my recent shop report today I am sharing my top finds in character/licensed T-shirts. I used to work in licensing designing licensed boys and girls wear for various high street names. It's always challenging to take character art and make look new and on trend but it's an area that becomes more and more exciting with lots of new names offering licensed wear.
I love the Tom and Jerry Tees above by Monnalisa and it's great to see top designers getting in on the game too and making licensing really exciting.

Fashion Illustration .1 - Orla Kiely
I made a news years resolution to do a fashion illustration each week of something I like. I can't guarantee it will last throughout the whole year - in fact I can't guarantee it will last beyond next week even. You know life/work gets busy - all work and no play? For this week at least I have kept the promise to myself and below is a sketch I have done of a piece from Orla Kiely's Autumn/Winter 2012 campaign.

Holkham, Norfolk - New Year Photography
I know I am a bit late on the 'Happy New Year' band wagon - but better late than never! Jamie and I went up to the Norfolk coast on new years day with our three dogs. It was the most beautiful sunny day and I managed to grab some lovely snaps with my i phone. I haven't done a photography post for a while now - mainly due to weeks of grey and rain limiting the opportunity to get out there and enjoy the great outdoors!
