S | S 2019 _ Colour Matrix & Publication Updates!

Here at [K.I.D.S] Ltd we are busy putting the finishing touches to our Spring | Summer 2019 Trend Publication due to release at the end of September.  We can't wait to share it with you - here is a sneak peak at some of the beautiful colours you will find in the trends!

Each Publication coast £150 and if full of trend inspiration for childrenswear with over 30 trend boards and colour palettes along with print and graphic and fabric information!

Isleham / / Village Illustration : MAP

Last April (2016) I moved to the beautiful village of Isleham on the north east side of Cambridgeshire!  We bought another barn conversion to do up which would give us more space for our growing family.  Along with our son Alfred who is coming up to three years old, we also have Elsie (who was born 2 days before we moved!) who is nearly 18 months!

There were many reasons for our move - but what was most important to me was having space to enjoy family life in an area where we would be able to enjoy village life while being in the heart of the countryside.  We are so lucky to have so many amazing things on our doorstep (not least to mention a village Coop right across the road which has become an extension of the pantry!!)

I have loved over the past year exploring our new village and all the amazing things it has to offer - rather than explaining or listen them I decided to create an illustration/map of the village celebrating them!

I've really loved creating the map and am considering adding it to mugs that we can enjoy at home along with a framed print!

Personalised Home Illustrations

Recently I have been creating a few personalised home illustrations for friends and family so that they can create their own personalised stationery.

Brand Launch // Grass & Air

Earlier this year I worked on a project helping design the first range for a new childrenswear outerwear brand Grass and Air.  Things have been developing fast and they are exhibiting at INDX Kidswear on 2^nd and 3^rd July 2017 (visit them at Stand 15)

Melissa and Ian who are the brains behind the brand were really specific and spot on with their design brief.  Grass and Air is established in Manchester and the founders were keen to get this across in the brands ethos.  Anyone familiar with the UK knows we can have four seasons of weather in one day; one minute we can be drowning in rain followed by sun, strong wind and then rush hour chaos as one centimetre of snow falls!!! This really can (and does) happen all in the space of 24 hours, especially in Manchester!

It’s no wonder any parent or carer of small children really struggles with dressing their kids for the day ahead without sending them to nursery or school with a suitcase full of options!  The answer; suitable and adaptable outerwear with layering options.  This is what Grass & Air aim to offer; clothing that’s functional and flexible and above all FUN!

Melissa and Ian wanted to develop prints for the range that have a fun element to them and represented the four seasons of weather in one day!  I came up with these colourful cloud prints that can be seen across the range.

Each piece of outerwear is designer to be above all functional, easy, quick and comfortable to get on.  Colours are practical yet fun mixed with pop colours to fastenings and the signage prints mixed in for balance.

I really believe this range answers the need for parents and carers for balanced layered outerwear and base layers for kids that are fun yet practice.  I for one will be the first in line to get my kids into these pieces with the brands official launch this year!
